Moscow region eliminates illegal container sites

The Moscow region consistently goes to the ordering of territories and the elimination of natural container “towns”.

Sea containers are a convenient and cheap way to organize temporary storage, mini-warehouses or retail outlets. But in the Moscow region, their mass placement without permits has become a chaotic problem:

  • land use standards are violated;
  • the external appearance of the territories suffers;
  • There are risks to safety and sanitation.

To restore order, the Governor of the Moscow region approved new rules governing the placement of sea containers on land.

New rules and controls

The Ministry of Property Relations of the Moscow region initiated a large-scale campaign to identify violators.
Key provisions:

  • Containers can be placed only in specially designated areas with issued documents.
  • Owners must comply with land use and development rules.
  • Any use of containers for commercial or storage purposes must be agreed with the municipality.

Designed for verification raiderwho inspect the sites and record violations.

Results of raids

The struggle has already yielded tangible results:

  • 28 illegal container sites terminated in 13 municipalities: Dmitrov district, Domodedovo, Istra, Klin, Korolev, Kotelniki, Lenin, Losino-Petrovsky, Lyubertsy, Mytishchi, Ruz, Solnechnogorsk and Khimki.
  • All the inspectors found. 274 sites with shipping containers, of which 99 worked with violations.

Scope of export

Back in July, the first stage of work was carried out:

  • From 22 plots in 10 districts removed 1,700 containers.
  • Exports are taking place in three territories 11,000 more units.

According to the Ministry of Property, this is not a one-time action, but systemwork until complete order is restored.

What awaits container owners

Owners using containers without permission are at risk of:

  • receive an order for dismantling;
  • to pay the export costs;
  • Lose the opportunity to operate on the site.

Those planning to legalize containers should:

  1. Prepare documents for the land.
  2. Get approval from the municipality.
  3. Make sure the activity is consistent with the intended purpose of the land.
