Warehouse is not a “place where the goods lie”, but a node of the logistics system, which directly affects the speed of shipment, accounting accuracy and cost. In this section, we reveal the basics of warehouse logistics: acceptance, placement, storage, configuration, packaging, shipment and inventory. We explain how to build a warehouse infrastructure, choose a placement scheme, set up accounting and control, as well as where money is most often lost - in unnecessary movements, configuration errors and downtime.
A separate block is temporary storage warehouses and customs warehouses: what is the SVH, how the placement procedure is arranged, what conditions and control requirements apply, and how customs clearance and customs control in the territory of the SVH passes. We also consider responsible storage and specific types of objects - for example, refrigerated warehouses: what goods they are needed for, what requirements are imposed on premises, equipment and temperature regime. Such a set of materials helps to build a clear, manageable and economical storage system - from a small warehouse to a complex transport and warehouse chain.
